STA Mobile Goes Green!

As a responsible MRO service provider and one of Mobile's largest employers, we have many opportunities to recycle - and we do, with outstanding results.

We have three primary recyclable waste streams generated from our operations: used oil, scrap metals, as well as cardboard and paper.

• In 2010, more than a quarter-million pounds of used oil generated from our operations went to a hydrocarbon blending facility, and was ultimately processed and reused as petroleum-related products.
• Every year, we recycle some 40,000 pounds of scrap metal, which is routed to manufacturing companies that produce consumer products.
• Cardboard and paper can be recycled for reprocessing into paper products, reducing the use of landfill space. In 2010 alone, we recycled some eight tons of cardboard and paper.
