Training

Training is part of our daily lives at STA Mobile. It stems from our commitment to safety, excellence and accountability and it touches every one of our 1,500-plus employees.

In fact, in 2010, our mechanics clocked a total of more than 100,000 hours in training of all types - from complex aircraft systems to simple aircraft maintenance tips, and from job orientation to work enhancement safety and quality programs. On any given day, some 10 percent of our employees are engaged in new skills training, regulatory training or refresher programs.

Up-to-Date Knowledge

Our on-site training center houses five classrooms equipped with more than 50 computer stations for daily access to classroom and computer-based training. Full-time technical instructors provide initial training for new employees, and continuation and job enhancement training for the entire work force. Senior mechanics and supervisors are constantly engaged with their teams in skills and systems refresher training on the job so that we always have the up-to-date knowledge needed to work on the aircraft in our care.
